Cubyn warehouse is expanding to support the growth of e-merchants
Faced with the explosion of online sales since the beginning of 2020 and in order to anticipate the end-of-year peak that many e-merchants will experience as Black Friday and the holiday season approach, Cubyn has decided to expand its warehouse in Gennevilliers.
In order to support more and more e-merchants in their logistics, Cubyn called upon the French storage solutions manufacturer Provost to increase the warehouse's storage capacity by 2.5 - thanks to the installation of a 2,500m2 mezzanine.
The challenge for Cubyn was to move forward quickly and above all to carry out this major work without impacting the activity of the warehouse operators. Only eight weeks of work were needed to complete this extension, during which full operational continuity was maintained. Despite the complexity of the installation - more than one hundred columns were installed in the heart of the picking cell - the operation has been completely painless for Cubyn customers: throughout the entire duration of the work, all orders were prepared and shipped with the same quality standards as usual, without any service disruption.
Thanks to the creation of this new storage space, Cubyn is more than ever able to support the growth of its current customers and to accompany new e-merchants - a great asset during this period of health crisis, as a huge boom of e-commerce purchases is once again expected.
